White balance
White balance compensates for color temperatures in different lighting conditions, so white
and other colors can display properly when you capture images.
To select white balance:
1. Tap .
2. Tap and then .
3. Tap and then White Balance. The icon that represents the current white balance
setting is highlighted.
4. Tap another icon of your choice.
5. Tap . (If you select the manual mode, the icon pops up. You must first tap
and point the adjustment frame shown on the touch screen at a blank sheet of
white paper (or something similar), and then tap to let the camera detect proper
colors.)
6. Tap to exit.
Icon Mode Description
Auto Adjusts white balance automatically.
Daylight Adjusts white balance for bright daylight conditions.
Cloudy Adjusts white balance for cloudy, twilight, or shady
conditions.
Tungsten Adjusts white balance for subjects lit by tungsten
(incandescent) lighting.
Fluorescent Adjusts white balance for subjects lit by fluorescent lighting.
Manual Manually adjust white balance.
You may not be able to select White Balance if you use certain scene modes, such as
(Auto).
